Borno attack killed at least nine

At least 9 people were killed today by
a suicide bombing in Maiduguri, the
Borno State capital, according to a
local resident and Emergency
Management Agency official.
The suicide attack occurred near the
Muna garage area of Maiduguri.
Baba Kura, a resident of Muna
garage, told a SaharaReporters
correspondent that at least nine
people feared dead in the attack.
”We heard loud explosions in our
area and we quickly went to the
scene and we found nine people
dead and a vehicle seriously
damaged,” he said.
A State Emergency Management
Agency official told SaharaReporters
on the condition of anonymity that 6
people were recovered from the
scene along Dikwa road.
The state governor ,Ben Ayade
Florence Ita Giwa personally
acknowledged his new position.In
line with this,he will be given an
official car and is also entitled to
monthly remuneration.
