The federal government has lashed out at
Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose and Senator
Dino Melaye for alleging fraud in the
implementation of the Treasury Single
Account (TSA) by the Buhari administration.

Recall that Fayose had said that there was
a diversion of the TSA funds to bankroll
elections in Bayelsa and Kogi states while
Senator Melaye also claimed on the floor of
the Senate that the firm managing the
remittances had deducted a whopping N25
billion as fees.
Leadership reports that in dismissing the
claims, the federal government said all the
claims are mere “contrived distraction.” The
minister of Information and Culture, Lai
Mohammed, said that there is nothing true
about the allegations from Fayose and
Melaye.
