movies like ‘Guilty Pleasures’,
‘Bursting Out’, ‘Kiss & Tell’ and
scores of others, fans of Nollywood
actor turned politician, Desmond
Elliott will have to wait for the next
four years to see another movie from
the actor who doubles as a
filmmaker.
Speaking with NET at a recent event,
the lawmaker who represents
Surulere constituency 1 at the Lagos
State House of Assembly disclosed
that he will not be acting or releasing
any movie for the period of his stay
in the house as he is focused on the
act of lawmaking.
‘There is nothing acting in all I do
now, it’s the job as a legislator and
doing work to ensure that there is a
better structure in the industry,’
Desmond disclosed to NET.
He however further revealed that he
is still a part of the industry and will
continue to support it.
When asked how he intends to use
his new position to impact
Nollywood, he simply said, ‘just wait
and see’.
