Ola, who is the APC Treasurer of Ward 11,
Ozuaha- Ikwerre Local Government of Rivers
state explained that the sack incumbent
governor, Nyesom Wike, is a welcomed
development.
Speaking exclusively to Naij.com, Ola
explained that the governorship elections in
April 2015, was a scam. According to him,
Elections were not held in many areas of the
state.

He said: “Governorship elections did not hold in
Rivers. There has to be a re-run. I can tell for
many areas including mine.
“On election day, we were chased way by thugs
and other miscreants just to ensure we didn’t
vote. It is a sad situation.
“We were surprised when they released results
before 12.00noon saying the Peoples’
Democratic Party (PDP) had won. It’s a big
shame,” he lamented
However, governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers
state has said that he will appeal the
judgment of the election petition tribunal
nullifying his election.
The APC alongside its gubernatorial
candidate, had been contesting the
declaration of Governor Wike by the
Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC) as the winner of the Rivers state
governorship poll in the April 11 gubernatorial
election.
Also, the APC and Peterside in their petition
filed on May 3, urged the tribunal to nullify
the election in the entire 23 local government
areas of the state and order fresh one on the
account of alleged substantial non-
compliance with provisions of the Electoral
Act and Manual for Election Officers 2015.
