According to a statement by the Army
spokesperson, Sani Usman, Shiite members
barricaded the road with bonfires, heavy stones
and tyres, refusing the convoy of the Chief of
Staff, Buratai, to pass.
Refusing all pleads from the Army and allegedly
started firing and pelting the convoy with
dangerous objects and the Army had no choice
but to protect their own.
An eyewitness twitter user named, Engr
Abdulqadir (@DanTaraba), who shared this pic,
stating that, the Army pleaded with the Sects for
over 20minutes, but they refused to open the
road for the Army convoy to pass through
