
The body of Mr. Dan Orogun, Managing Director
of the Guaranty Trust Bank in Liberia was pulled
out of a river a day after he was declared missing
in a boating accident.
According to a statement released by GTBank
Liberia, Orogun, a Nigerian, went missing after an
unfortunate boating mishap that took place on
Sunday, January 24, at the Barracuda Resort off
the Robertsfied Highway in Monrovia.
Mr Orogun, a banker with more than 20 years
experience was at the resort with friends when he
reportedly fell into the water. Eyewitnesses said
several attempts made to rescue him failed. He is
credited with setting up GT Bank in Sierra Leone
before moving to Liberia to set up another
branch.
