R. Kelly is trending on
twitter.. Seem like R. Kelly and the Internet
don't mix. After 2013's #AskRKelly fiasco, the
Pied Piper emerged for a second go-round of
Twitter questions from fans during a live
video interview with Huffington Post on Monday
(Dec. 21) but ended up walking out following the
awkward 20-minute Q&A.
Promoting his 13th studio album, Buffet, things
start off smoothly with him saying he wanted to
bridge his generation of fans with diverse tracks
on his latest LP.
"I've created longevity musically," he said. "Got
all different types of generations listening to my
music, so in order for me to satisfy those
different generations, I had to come up with
something and Buffet was it. All different genres
of music to feed different genres of people."
He then says that a "lack of support" and
computer downloads has led to
dismal Buffet sales as opposed to his risque
2013 release Black Panties .
Six minutes in, host Caroline Modarressy-
Tehrani asks about the lack of support for R.
Kelly the person versus R. Kelly the artist,
and tackles his history of sexual allegations,
which is more than enough to get the singer
rambling.
"I didn't come here for negative. I came here for
positive," he said. "I don't give people that's
negative towards me the time of day ...
''When you start getting negativity coming
at you, you pretty much don't wanna hear that
crap. Especially if it was, what, I don't know
how many years ago. So what I'm gonna tell
you is that I am going to sit here and talk gonna
talk to you like the beautiful lady you are and
I'm gonna talk to you with respect but I'm
gonna let you know that any other negative
things come at me out of your mouth, as far as
negativity, I'm gonna get up and walk out and
I'm gonna go to McDonald's. Hopefully, the
McRib is out and I'm going to go home to
Chicago, play me some basketball, go to the
studio and work on my next album."
After a few questions about his views on sex, R.
Kelly asks the host if she knows what a
"deposition" is and makes good on his word by
making an exit
