Mr Uyi Ibhoje is a 32 years old young man from
Nigeria who was diagnosed with kidney failure 4
years ago because he had micro-kidneys from
birth. Because of poor medical facilities in Nigeria,
the diagnosis of micro-kidneys was only known
when one of the kidneys failed 4 years ago. He is a
graduate of Microbiology and was studying for his
Masters Degree when he had to discontinue his
program and go for a kidney transplant (Kidney
donated by his Sibling) in August 2013 in Apollo
Hospital in New Delhi, India through the help of his
local church, family members and friends.
Unfortunately, the kidney transplant failed after 1
year and he had to return back to Apollo Hospital in
India in February 2015 where it was medically
proven that the transplant had failed. He's been
there since then undergoing dialysis weekly,
because of the inability of the family to raise
another USD $35,000 for the second transplant.
His condition is now getting worse and the hospital
has threatened to send him back to Nigeria if he
isn't going to do a second transplant in weeks.
Even though he has got a second donor from his
family (mother) yet there is no money to carry out
the transplant. First, he needs to go through a
desensitization procedure before the transplant.
We strongly solicit your support to aid Mr Uyi's
second kidney transplant and give
