2018 WCQ: Nigeria has bigger motivation than Zambia - Rohr

With only hours to their World Cup qualifier against Zambia, Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has claimed his side has a bigger motivation to win the game today in Ndola.
The Super Eagles are guests to the Chipolopolo at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium
in Ndola in the opening weekend of the World Cup qualifiers and they face the Zambians later today, Rohr says while both teams share similar motivations, it is Nigeria who have the bigger motivation.
“They want to win, the missed AFCON, the same motivation like our motivation but I think our motivation can be a little bit bigger, because I feel that our team absolutely wants to win the game,” Rohr said.
The game will be the first in qualifying group B, with Algeria against Cameroon coming up later in the day, and Rohr has also insisted they cannot afford to make mistakes, as they must be careful.
“We must be careful when we want to win the game away, absolutely. Sometimes you forget to defend well, we must be careful and don’t make mistakes,” he added.
The game in Ndola begins at 2.30pm Zambian time, which is 1.30pm Nigerian time with the winner going top of the group even if temporarily.
