Yesterday Glee star, Mark Salling, was arrested
for possession of child pornography involving
minors engaging in or simulating sexual conduct.
What police found was nothing short of
disgusting.
According to reports, authorities were tipped off
by an ex-girlfriend of Salling's. They obtained a
search warrant and found several explicit
photographs on Salling's computer of children,
some no older than 10 years old, involved in
sexual acts.
LAPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task
Force seized over a thousand images from
Salling's desktop computer and haven't even
gotten to his cell phone, laptop and tablet
yet. According to the law, if there are more than
600 images, the maximum punishment is 5 years
in prison.
Mark Salling's bail was set at $20,000. His family
paid 10% ($2,000) and Salling was released
shortly after his arrest.
Even though Salling is free, chances are his
career is ruined. After Glee wrapped, Salling was
set to appear in a film called "Adi Shankar's Gods
and Secrets." Due to his current legal troubles,
however, producers are highly considering cutting
him and recasting the role.
